Art Education Ed. D. Program
The online EdD program in Art Education allows students to major in Art Education or Museum Education & Visitor-Centered Curation. This degree encourages students to identify and develop solutions to problems that impact the fields of art and museum education.
Majors:
Art Education students are supported in their efforts to investigate and advance understanding related to innovative applications of art education research, based on individual student interests.
Museum Education & Visitor-Centered Curation: Within this major, the EdD degree aims to prepare edu-curators (a hybrid of education and curation functions) to advance museum theory and practice and to promote innovative and socially engaged leaders and scholars.

Structure
- The EdD is an online program, offering mainly asynchronous classes
- 36 hours of coursework
- 24 hours of dissertation
- Students produce a dissertation-in-practice
- Typically takes 3 years, or 9 semesters, to complete
